What is the difference between covenant and contract?

Covenant
-willingness to enter fully into a relationship with someone else

Contract
-solemn agreement and promise witnessed and guaranteed by God

Why are they different?
-Contract can be broken
-Covenant is about commitment
-Contract is about convenience

God has set us free!
God's purpose of the covenant is to BLESS US!

4 things about God's covenant

1- Covenant keeps us free within the boundary set

2- It keeps me secure in Christ
