Title: the 3^rd Commandment do not use God's name in vain

Vulgarities – a very low level language that offences the society values

Obscenity – things that go against the sexual values

Blasphemy – irrelevant talks against religious values

• A name is very important because it up hold that person's authority and prestige
  

3 ways that we misuse God's name

1. Through our speech
   

• We should all look out of the words that we use when we are irritated and angry, because some of it might contain God's name
  
• E.g. Bloody hell, damn it, oh my Gosh
  

1. Through our action
   

• We are called to be little Christ, thus we should only bring out the Christ like behaviours
  
• Our actions will either bring a person closing or further away from God
  
• Any bad behaviour that we have outside will pull down God's name
  

1. Through our worship
   

• Do you really mean what we sing during P&W?
  
• Sometimes we abuse God's name by speaking off what we feel is good. E.g. anyhow shouting AMEN
  
• When we shout Amen, we should really mean it from our heart that we support the prayer or word
