Title: Truth unplugged #2
*To overcome all the temptation we must first understand the lie
*Knowing the lie is one thing, apply it with solution continuously to tackle it is another thing
*Lies from the world will bound us from doing the facts
*It is not comfortable at all when we first go against the lie but, it will gradually feel better (illustrated by the bicycle girl in the sermon)
*If we don’t put sermon into application, life will not be change
*God wants to renew your mind with truth(Knowing the word of God randomly will not transform but specific to tackle on specific problem will help)
*Matt 4:1-10
*Satan come to Jesus when Jesus is the weakest (when He actually fasted for 40 days)
*Satan come to Him with a lot of lies to tempt Jesus
*Jesus used “it is written” as a weapon to fought back the war
*Question: how many “it is written” is it in our life? Jesus stood up for God by the word of God in the bible
*If Jesus had did that, we also got to be doing that out of obedience
1.Use specific truth
*we got to fill our mind with the word of God
*we must have enough facts/truth in our head in order to tackle on the lies and problems that we face
*Satan asked Jesus to prove that He is really the son of God by asking Him to jump down the cliff and then asked Him to send His angels to save Him from crashing down the rocks and stone. Satan knew in his heart that He is the son of God but, Satan just wanted Jesus to do it so that He be disobedience
*Jesus was being lied by Satan multiple times but He didn’t argued back but He just stand firmly in God
*Satan once again lied to Jesus that all the land on earth belongs to him and he said that if Jesus would to bow down to him for a short while, He will need not to redeem the world by the dying on he cross but Satan will give back to Him( this is a lie)
*However Jesus realised that He is down on earth for both obedience and to redeem the world
*Thus Jesus used the “it is written” again to tackle on the lie
2.speak out the truth
· the devil cannot read our minds but he can predicts what we will do and react
· we must not just think about the truth but proclaim it by specking it out
· when we vocalise it , something powerful is actually happening in our soul
· our feelings are wonderful followers, but they are terrible leaders
3.personalise the truth
· make every verses to the first person point of view by placing “I” to the sentences
· E.g. you can use 2Cor 10:5
4.pray the truth
· Eph 4:29
· 1Peter 2:11
5.we got to mediate on the truth
· what we choose to be thinking of before we sleep will determine what we will dream about
· Think of God’s word till you sleep. How wonderful can that be?
· John 8:31-32
