By - Pastor Song
Why God created MAN??(Genesis 1:26-31)
To be the image and likeness of God.(v.26)
- Not that we can be physically God but in terms of emotions and love.
Exercise their appointed/dedicated authority.(v.26)
- To rule over the earth and everything that dwells in it.
- It is a dedicated and given authority so no one can boast.
To be His(Jesus') image.(v.27)
- We were made to be like Christ.
To receive God's blessing.(v.28)
- The first thing God did when man was created is blessing them.
To be fruitful and multiply.(v.28)
- To be fruitful in what we do and be successful.(John 15:16-17)
- Be a blessing to everyone in what we do.
To enjoy God's provision in life.(v.29-30)
Because it is very good.(v.31)
There are 3 parts of us which makes us Man. 1 Thessalonians 5:23
- Spirit - Which is to communicate with God and being spiritually conscious.
- Soul - Which makes us self conscious and is able to express our emotions.
- Body - Which is to makes us worldly conscious.
God originally designed Man to have the placing of
1. Spirit - to be a spiritual person and be a master of his/her life.
2. Soul - A steward of the spirit and to obey the master(spirit).
3. Body - A servant of the soul and to do the soul's biddings.
But sin came and twisted everything upside down. Genesis 2:17
- Sin also caused us to stray away from God.
- By eating the fruit of knowledge, it causes the soul to be empowered and spirit will be weakened and surpassed.
Functions of the Spirit. (John 6:63)
Intuition (Mark 2:8, Matthew 26:41, Romans 12:11)
- It gives us a warning of something that is about to happen from the spiritual realm.
Priority to the spiritual world
Reminding us that the spirit comes first.
- Spirit is eternal.
- We are all spirits. ( 1 Corinthians 2:11, 1 Corinthians 14:4)
How to exercise our Spirits.
- Tongues >>Building up our spiritual life. (Ephesians 1:17, James 1:5-8)
- Spiritual revelations >> God revealing the unknowns to us.
