Title: Salt and light of the world

Mat 5:13-16
Salt is important to heal, without salt, it is impossible to heal any wounds.
Do you know man uses 40million tonnes of salt per year?(tats about 6-8g per day per person)

Salt is essential to life
We are called to be salt of the world, therefore also the essence of life.

6 Characteristics of salt

1. Salt adds flavour
when salt is being used, it loses its flavour, likewise, when we are totally used by God, we will lose ourselves

2. Salt acts like a preservity
We are given the task to erase the decaying of the world.
Salt is able to prevent decaying from happening.

3. Christians like salt, Heals
God heals people through us, without God we are unable to heal anyone or anything.

4. Christian like salt creates thirst
As Christians, we should make other people curious of what we are doing, let them be thirsty to know about God. Because we are different from others

5. Christians like salt, can also lose their saltiness

6. Christian like salt, must have contact to influence
Salt can only spread its flavour when in contact with the other substance, likewise, unless we are in 'contact' with the world, we would not be able to have influence over other people's lives
