Fear of the Lord

>We, as humans have all sorts of fear

The 2 main kinds of fear
1. when you're in danger
2. when you're paralysed, stucked.

the fear of God is different
Deuteronomy 5:29
Deuteronomy 10:12
Ecclesiates 12:13
> fear God, keep His commands
Psalms 33:8
>fear of God draws us nearer to God
2 Tim 1:7
>fear of God is an awesome respect of reverence growing out of the greatness and power of God.

In order to fear God,
1. You need to know who is God
>respect at all times in our life
>God is omnipotent [all-powerful]
>God is omnipresent [everywhere]
>God is omniscient [all knowing]
>God is holy
1 Peter 1:16
>God hates sin

>THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GHOSTS
>Satan is known as Lucifer who was an arch angel
>When he fell because of his pride, he brought 1/3 of fallen angels along with him
>These 1/3 angels made up the evil spirits community known as "GHOSTS"

>God doesn't have to love you, but he choose to love us YET we treat Him casually/ for granted
>fear God because He is strong
>we must understand that we cannot just look at God because He is loving, we must also fear Him.

2. Have friendship with God
Psalms 25:14
>God confides in those who fear Him
Proverbs 2:5
>Find knowledge of God
Genesis 18:17
Genesis 18:20-21
>do you have friendship with God enough to change things.?

3. Blessings from fearing the Lord
Proverbs 1:7
>knowledge of slavation
>knowledge of wisdom
WHEN YOU WAKE UP EVERY MORNING
SAY THAT "I'M A CHRISTIAN"
>live your life in fear of the Lord
>you should not go to God only when you have a request
>knowledge of sin
Proverbs 16:6
>we need to know God is awesome
>it is time to stop committing sins because you fear the Lord
>get you through hard times

backslide: if we fear God, we'll not renounce Him so easily
>why is it so easy to say you wanna backslide.?
>getting a citizenship in God's family is not easy

>if God is holding on to us, somehting imperfect yet He never lets go, why do we give Him up so easily.?

4. Important for leaders ; christians
>when you fear God, you'll serve God
Luke 12:48

5. God answers your prayers
Psalm 145:19
>your desires, your emotions


God is saying
'Fear not for I am with you, I will never leave you nor forsake you. Let not your hearts be troubled neither let it be afraid'.
