what is faithful?
-Dependability
-Reliability
-consistency
the greatest ability that people have is
dependability!A person without faith is useless
4 reasons to why develop faithfulness
1)we want to be like God...because
-God is faithful by whom you were called into fellowship with His son(Faithful in our salvation)
-God is faithful(1Corinthians 10:13)
-If we confess out sin, He is faithful and just to forgive
2)It guarantee God's blessings in my life.
-For God to bless me i have to be FAITHFUL
3)Faithfulness prepares me for God's ministry!
-Nehemiah 7:2
I put in charge of Jerusalem my brother Hanani, along with [a] Hananiah the commander of the citadel,
because he was a man of integrity and feared God more than most men do.4)Faithfulness is rewarded in heaven!
God can overlook my ignorance and God can overlook my lack of talents, but what God does not overlook is what I do with what I got.
-God will judge faithfulness in heaven
8 things where God wants to test us in Heaven
1)He wants to test us on our values
-Do we have Godly values in our life?
-Are we able make the right choice from the wrong?
Proverbs 28:20
A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished
To be faithful is not to go by what the world says
Luke 16:13
No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money(world)
2)He wants to test whether do we care for other people's needs, because a faithful man cares for other's interest, not just their own
-Philippians 2:20-22(him-timothy)
I have no one else like him, who takes a genuine interest in your welfare. For everyone looks out for his own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.
-Faithfulness is not selfish!
3)God wants to test if we live a life of integrity in a unbelieving world
-beings a good testimonial to unbelievers and believers alike
Daniel 6:4
At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so.
They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.4)God wants to test if we have ever lied to people, because a faithful person never go back on his words and promises
Proverbs 25:14
Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of gifts he does not give.
Proverbs 20:25
It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider his vows.
5)God wants to see if we had developed our spiritual gifts
-1peter 4:10
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
6)God wants to see if we manage out wealth(money) well
-when you get to heaven, one of the things God is going to look at to determine the reward that you're given and the future responsibilities is how you handle your finances.
Luke 16:11
So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
God has made money a litmus test(acidic test)
-1Corinthians 16:2
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
We can be on vacation from work, but we cannot be on vacation from God
7)God wants to test if we had obeyed His commands while we serve Him
-1Samuel 2:35
I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who
will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his house, and he will minister before my anointed one always
8)God wants to know if we did pass on what we have learnt to others
it is out duty to pass on spiritual truths!
