Pastor Daniel 24th Feb
God speaks by the Holy Spirit through circumstances and the church.

>every promotion requires and examination
>nobody said growing in God is easy.
>we need to pisition ourselves in a area where we will grow

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.

Lets look at Job
He had his family wiped out and he was plagued with boils BUT he never blame God.
He was contented with the perspective of God.
He wait and see what God has to tell him.
He knew that God will reveal the truth of the circumstance to Him.

In every cicrumstance, God wants to speak to us.
The key is, DO YOU WANT TO LISTEN?

when we're too troubled, we'll have a distorted view of God.

In order to understand our circumstance.
1. See it from God's perspective.
>dont't use your circumstance to determine what God has said
>circumstances CANNOT translate the bible
> the bible must be the yardstick

>our theology gudies our choices

HOW DO WE RESPOND WHEN CIRCUMSTANCES ARE DIFFICULT OR CONFUSING?

1. Settle in your mind that God has demonstrated His love for you
> with every problem, it is an oppourtunity for promotion

2.Don't try to understand God in the middle of your problem

3. Go to God and ask Him to help us see His perspective

4. Wait on the Holy Spirit
>dont look at how big is your problem, look at how big is your God!

5. Adjust your life
6. Expect to EXPERIENCE God

the joy of the Lord is your strength!

Lets look at Moses [Exodus 5 and 6]
Moses was suppose to save the israelites out of egypt. But after the first time approaching Pharoh, Pharoh's heart harden and increase the punishment upon the Israelites. And they started to blame Moses. So even Moses himself quesiton God.
God calm Moses down and explain it to Him patiently.

In our bad circumstances,
>we should not blame God.
Instead, we should go to Him for He's the source of help.
>TRUST HIM.

It is dificult to deny ourselves.
John 6:1-15
He is the truth in all your circumstances!

2. Understand your circumstance from God's past dealings.
Joshua 4:1-7
>keep a journal to record down the spiritual markers of your life
> a spiritual marker is somehting that marks out a transition, decision that you know that God has guided you.
>write it our so that you see the direciton that God is leading you.
>check it with the bible, prayer and church.

Ephesians 4:15-16
God speaks to us through the church!
1.The church is a body.

A church functions best when all the members can share and work for each other. We need to cooperate and work together.

Like snowflakes, when we are alone, we are fragile, but when we UNITE we become an avalanche, STRONG and POWERFUL.
>people who say that they don't need a church are ignorant or arrogant.

The church prevents you from backsliding.!

The church is indestructable. The devil can never destroy the church. God is on our side. It'll exist for eternity. God intertwines us to make us strong!

2. The church helps you develop spiritual muscles.

3. The church helps you to move out of self-centeredness
>practice unselfish love.

Christ had no body but YOURS.

4. Unique role in church for you to develop your gifts.

We need to share and encourage each other with our lives. Build each other to become stronger christians.

We need to constanly seek WISE counsel when we face obstacles NOT look for people who will tell us what we wanna hear.

hey all. God bless. remember, let's open up and share our lives, encourage one another and build each other up! =]
