Title: L0oking to God!

there is 2 kinds of people in this world
1. God centered people

• dependant on God
• Focus on God
• Humble before God
• seeks God's perspective before doing things

2. Self-centered people (think only about themselves)

Examples of God centered people: Joseph(genesis 39), 10 spies(numbers 14:8-9) and Asa(2 Chronicles 14:11)

Self centeredness is a subtle trap , God centeredness may make no sense from a human's perspective

John 12:24-25

Being God centered

1) get our hearts right

> we are filled with things that we want to do (Genesis 6:5-6)

we do not sit down and dream what we want to do for God then call God in to help us accomplish it

Exodus 2:11-15

God's plans are timely and perfect

2) getting our priority in the right order

> we need to depend more on God (isaiah 40:29)

God can never use a discouraged servant -Billy Graham

Philippians 4:13, Luke 10:19

3) hear from the right person
Rely on the voice of God as He still speaks(Matt 4:4)

4)Do the right thing
our perconception of God often contradicts with what God wants to do with us.
Dont allow a fixed pattern to confine us and prevent us to do what we can actually do
Identify the difference of my personal desire and God's will

The KEY is not a method, but it is a relationship with God (Psalms 81:10)

we must sincerely seek God's direction
we need to wait patiently for God until He have a word for you
we need to look to the Holy spirit to do God's work

When you try to go on with God the world will oppose
When you try to drow deeper in God, your fleshly nature will resist you
When you try to go up high with God, the principalities of the air and demonic forces will fight you!
