Missions: God's Heartbeat

Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

christian = missionary

2 Corinthians 5:18-21

we are ambassadors for Christ.!
>God is like pleading through you to the people around you.!

*Every person on earth is missionary or a mission field.


4 facts about mission
1. Mission is a command, not a suggestion.
> God did not suggest to you to share the good news, He commanded you to do so.!

2.Mission is an obligation
> You need to do it.! if not who will.?

3.Mission is God's heartbeat
it is for the lost.
we need to have the same heartbeat, do you.?

4.Mission is action
>you need to take action, you need to share
>the ratio has dropped from the past of 40000 ppl to 1 christian
no its only 10:1
>so if all of us do our part, we share and share and share, THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE SAVED.!
>but did we share.?

this stats only show us that the gospel of Christ has an ever increasing impact on the non-christian world.!
BUT ARE WE DOING OUR PART.?


4 steps to feel God's heartbeat
1. Capture God's Passion
>you need to understand how God feels
>He does not want anyone to perish.!

2.Tap into God's power
>it's the power of the Holy Spirit that causes mission to be possible
>but you need to choose to work with the Holy Spirit
>if you dont work with the Holy Spirit, the consequences will not be good.
>witnessing is not dependant on your personality nor your position, it is by the Holy Spirit

3.Commit to God's plan
>power is not for you to show off.
>power is for you to witness.!

4.Follow God's Pattern
start from
>Jerusalem = your home, people close to your heart
then go on to
>Judea = the people around you, people across the street
>Samaria = neighbouring countries, your community
>to the ends of the earth.!


Get the light to every corner of the world.
We need to start reaching out to people across the road and around the world.!



Remember,
Jesus is the person of missions.
The Spirit id the power of missions
Witnessing is the plan of missions
We are the people of missions



Do all you can. Complete your mission. Put a smile on God's face.
