Your Body, His temple.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that you body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body. (NIV)

>You are not your own. You were bought at a price.!
>If our body is so so so important, then what are we supposed to do with our bodies.?
WE NEED TO HONOR GOD WITH OUR BODIES.!

Romans 6:11-14
in our body, there is a throne,
and there will be a challenger to the throne which is sin.
and the castle that holds this throne is your body.
the desires of your life is are your servants.
and these desires are neutral.

and this throne, will be taken over more and more as we give in to the challenger.

our body is created beautiful, but when we allow the devil to take over, it becomes UGLY.

there is only one true king to the throne.
and this king is GOD.!
and there are weapons in this castle.
your eyes, ears, hands,feet, tongue.!



1.God is our king.
>everything we have belongs to Him
>our throne sits King.
>You're the temple of the Holy Spirit
>You're the church
>together, we formed the body of Christ
>we need to be obedient to the king of kings and the Lord of Lords.!

2. We need to resist the challengers [sin] that wants to take God's throne.!
sin is a power that controls you.

3.Your desires is not sin.!
>God gives desires to all of us.
They are the servants of your body.
But when sin captures these desires, they become evil.

eg. from the desire to eat, it becomes anorexia, bullimia, gluttony.!

the truth is, sin is indeed fun, pleasing, enjoyable but it is for a short period of time.
when the fun is over, ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE.
you will have to pay for your sin.!

we should never never let sins take over our desires, distort it and make us use it against God.!

the devil hates you because he hates God.! and he uses you to take revenge on God.!

you're beautiful just the way you are.
but the devil still wants to destroy your life.

some of us even help the devil to laugh at God.

Satan ia a big fat liar, he makes evil desires look great and promising but it's all a SCAM. A LIE.

Hebrews 7:25
Ephesians 4:22
temptaion leads to sin which leads to stronghold which then takes over you.!

one step towards temptaion is like putting miracle growth on the soil of our minds
causing the soil of our minds and the vines of desires grow out and take over.

one step towards temptation, one temptation away from God.

how do we fall into temptation.?
>we will keep thinking about it.

Keys to winning temptation.
1. Know what temptation is and how it operates.
>temptation is not a sin; an oppourtunity to sin
>we can prevent ourselves from succumbing to temptation
James 1:13-15
God doesn't tempt! it is our own desire that we give in to the dark side.
the 3 truths to temptation.
*1. God is not the source of temptation.
*2. The source of temptation is our own evil nature
*3. If you do not deal with temptation the way it should be deal with, it will lead you to sin.

2.You need to recgonise the possibility of temptation.
>temptation can happen to you.!
>the devil's best weapon is using SURPRISES.
>he loves to scare you out of your shoes.!
>he will use your weakness to tempt you.
CAUTION.
the devil will attck you when you're having a victorious time, or when you're weak, or going through transitions.

3.Recgonise the pattern of temptation.
we have a customised temptation.
our temptations are in a way that it only suits individuals.
all temptations are the same.
there is no comparison of whose temptation is more difficult to overcome.!

4.Request help in times of temptation
Matthew 6:13
Matthew 26:14
>be careful, temptation can happen to you anytime.!
>always ask God to deliver you from the evil one.!

5.Resist the devil and He will flee from you.!
James 4:7
>you resist temptations and the devil by using bible verses.!

6.Retreat from certain temptations.
the 3 temptations that you must run away from
1.Idolatry [anything that will take over the position of God in your life]
2.flee from immorality
1 Corinthians 6:18
2 Timothy 2:22
3.Greed
1 Timothy 6:10-11
the love of money is the root of all evil.
RUN FROM THESE TEMPTATIONS.

7.You replace bad influences with good ones.
> if you know of people in your life, who would influence you and draw you away from God, you need to keep away from them and not be influenced by them.!

People who will get temptations
>People who are maturing
>People in Ministry
>People in Marriage
>People in Transitions.


Obeying God doesn't have immediate results but you will be promoted in the long run.!
