HI EVERYONE!
im here to tell you about yesterday's sermon.
ADDICTION.
familiar word.?
dont underestimate it's power though!

many times, when a person is addicted, they will not know they are!
imagine if you're walking down a valley, and it has many doors.
such as DRUGS, GAMES, CLUBBING, ENTERTAINMENT, STUDY.
so on and so forth. due to your curiousity, you open the door and went in.
but you know wad.? when you go in, you may nv come out again.

curiousity often leads to repeated exposure and gradually, it becomes a bondage!

an addiction is like a monster, as you feed it, it GROWS!
it definitely has to start with something.

addiction is not about you only, it's aout your family! it's about the ppl surrounding you!
addiction can happen to anyone. it may happen to you, me, ANYONE!

to know whether if one is a real christian, its only how that person behaves when he/she is alone!

addiction just starts gently but b4 you know it, it gets out of control.!

but how can you come out of addiction then.?

5 steps you need to take.

1.find freedom in Christ
-learn who Jesus really is
-there is a bondage between you and the devil, he wants to destroy you because he hates God!
-Jesus is the one who has set you FREE!
but most of us got ourselves bounded again as we partner with the devil!

2.Find freedom through choices
John 8:34-37
-you need to allow Jesus to transform you!
-He will help you overcome your temptation.!
remember.? God will never give you a temptation that is so overwhelming! there is always a escape route. but we choose to ignore it.

what choices can you make.?
`1- you can pray when temptations come!
1 Corinthians 10:13
`2-you can medidate on God's words.
Phillipians 4:13
Ephesians 6:10-18
Colossians 3
`3-decide to turn away
if you know the temptation is coming, will you still purposely go and walk towards it.?
`4-call someone to talk to and pray with
call someone who is spiritually strong, and whom you're close to! talk to them about your problem, they will pray for you!

3.find freedom through counselling and support
Matthew 6:9-13
Mark 4:8
real freedom comes only when you submit to God.!

4.find freedom through wearing the full armour of God
5. find freedom and insight through books!

yea. all of will have temptations. and this temptation may become an addiction.
but as long as you submit to God, you will definitely gain real freedom!
