hey guys...for ppl in unity n those still in exams...u guys do come here at times even at exams rite? =P heres some update on last week's sermon...

Critical Decade=> 14-24 years old

wadeva we decide within this decade of 10 years will stay wif us for the rest of the 50 years of our life...(our whole life i believe)
Any mistake or wrong decision we made during these 10 years we will suffer consequences for the rest of the 50 years(some1 say ouch)

therefore our foundation within these 10 years hav to be straight n true
Note: we may be in the world but we are NOT the world

one way of nt messing up our critical decade
Dont leave God out of our plans

Psalms 127:1(NIV)
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.

When God doesn't make sense?(He always does)
He doesn't tells you why at times somethings happen to you

God doesn't owe us a smooth life~

Ecclesiastes 11:5(NIV)
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

Man can never understand God~

1Corinthians 2:11(NIV)
For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 (NIV)
"For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV)
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Its not man's nature to suffer~

John 16:33(NIV)
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world

In troubles or suffering, our strength grows more

1 Peter 4:12-13(NIV)
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

Spiritual Laws
1: God loves you and have a wonderful plan for you
2:God's plan is wonderful(duh)
3:everything in harmony with His will works wonderfully
4:Life seems unfair but God is still just(AMEN!)

Romans 8:28(NIV)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose

Points on how to be stable:

1: continue to obey God even if you don't understnad the circumstances
2:Trust God beyond what you can see
3:recognise that the moments of troubles are oppotunities for us to know God more intimately
